Hey AI Lessons Crew đź”®

I’m super excited to bring you our first official newsletter with our new name and brand AI Lessons.

This newsletter will help you find ways to use AI in your day to day life.

How to use AI to research topics in minutes

Today, we are using Consensus to speed up the research of any academic topic using the power of AI. You do need to have ChatGPT Plus to access the GPT but the Consensus application is free on their website so all good!

Consensus is an AI-powered search engine that finds and summarizes scientific research papers. Their mission is to use AI to make expert information accessible to everyone. Imagine using research for every day purposes rather than only something you did while in college?

Before

  • Use google scholar to search for academic journals. It takes hours to compile a list of suitable readings in which you have to proof read each of them.

  • Creating citations can take another chunk of your day

  • You’re not learning what you need to learn.

After

  • Use Consensus to research upcoming business trends, search innovation strategies and review health research..all within minutes.

  • Cite your research with one click

  • Focus on the learning, not the manual tasks

Case Study: Researching the top health habits of successful people

Step One: Prompt

When using ChatGPT, your answer is only as good as your prompt. To get the most accurate response, I like to ask in the following format

  1. Assume you are ____ (enter job title or profession)

  2. Describe the task in full

  3. Request an action to be made

  4. Ask to clarify understanding

Step Two: Clarify

Answer the questions and go! You will receive a well thought out response that gives you 3 research papers on the topic of healthy habits from successful people.

From this we can learn that exercising regularly can help build up habit strength and cognitive ability leading to much more discipline in your dietary practices.

We also can see that a balanced lifestyle is linked with higher levels of success and satisfaction - good sleep, diet and exercise all help with this!
