TODAY’S TIP
😈 Start to end: How to create your first Twitter ad without AI
Here’s the A-Z from beginning to end on how to set up your first ad.
And teaser: the next email will be about how we use AI to supercharge this process. We gotta show you both of course 😉
Let’s start:
Go to the Ads Manager at ads.twitter.com
Click “Create Campaign” in the top right corner
Choose an Advanced campaign so you have better targeting options:

Choose from one of the myriad of Campaign Objectives. We like “Website traffic” so we will choose that.
Create a Campaign Name so you can differentiate it from all your other ads later on. Then add a Funding Source so you can actually pay X/Twitter to place ads for you.
On the next screen, here is where things get really fun. You can set a budget, a schedule, delivery strategy, and targeting.
Under “Delivery,” we like to optimize the goal for Link Clicks, set the bid strategy to Autobid, and the “Pay by” to Link Click:

Then, under Demographics, target who you would like to target. Men aged 20-49 who live in the United States; for example.
Under “Targeting Features,” you can target people based on keywords, people who follow a specific account (!), interests, and more. For example, if you want to target Caleb’s followers, you can add his handle just like this:

Once you’re done, head to the next screen for Ad Details. This is where you add your ad copy, and media for ad creatives. There is even a preview on the right-hand side. Click “Next” for the final review screen.
You’ll see an overview of all the settings you set and details you submitted. Hit Launch and you’re good to go!
And that’s it!
Nice and easy, and now you know how to set this up yourself. Go and experiment!
